How do I know what size to buy?

To help you out, we’ve put together a handy size guide to help you choose the right size. Keep in mind this is a guide to the sizing of all of our clothing - sizing for different brands may vary from style to style. We try our best in our descriptions to clarify the sizing but if you have any questions please feel free to drop us a line so we can help.

What materials do you use?

Our pieces are selected to be easy to care for and sublimely comfortable. We want you to look good, feel good and not be tied to the laundry for hours on end (no-one needs that!). Cotton, polyester, rayon and linen are used extensively in our range as is viscose, lycra, denim, elastine, and polymind to deliver comfort, longevity and oodles of style.

How do I care for my new clothes?

Our goal at Maiden Avenue is to provide you with trendy mum clothes that are easy to wear and care for (we know you’re busy and don’t have time for complex care instructions!) Having said that, it’s always best to check the care label for specific instructions, just to ensure your outfit continues to bring you joy well into the future.

My garment looks different to the website - what do I do?

Obviously, photos will look a little different to the real thing but we do our best to ensure you always receive what you pay for. If you are not happy with your purchase, please let us know immediately so that we can sort it out for you.

How do you ensure product quality?

We only select clothes from trusted providers and only stock items that we’d wear ourselves (in fact, the Maiden Avenue team literally live in our range of clothes!) If you have any concerns about the quality of your clothes, pop into our store or email so we can resolve your issue.


How can I pay for my items?

It’s easy peasy! You can use Visa, MasterCard or PayPal for convenient online payment and we also take Google Pay and Apple Pay in-store. Afterpay is another option so you can get your hands on your items sooner.

Are my details secure?

Totally. All transactions are completed using SSL technology to provide high-level encryption. We don’t store your credit card information, as all online payments are handled via third party providers and subject to strict conditions, so your details are always secure.

Can you gift wrap my purchase?

Unfortunately, we don’t offer a dedicated gift wrapping service, however, we can include a handwritten note if it’s a gift. Just let us know at checkout.


How do you deliver and how much does it cost?

All orders are shipped via Australia Post. Our Returns & Shipping page has more detailed information on our delivery process, including estimates of cost. As thanks for choosing us, you get free shipping on all orders over $100, so it makes sense to spend a little more to avoid paying for shipping (and get your hands on some serious mum fashion!)

How long does it take for items to arrive?

We aim to have all orders dispatched within 24 hours of receiving them (not including weekends - we’re human and we need the odd break!). Standard shipping takes around 5 days while express shipping usually delivers within 2 days, but delivery times can be affected by things outside our control (that’s why we keep you updated on the progress of your order). If you have more than one item in your parcel you may receive your order in two parcels as we ship from different warehouses. 

What is considered local delivery?

Local delivery covers the Sutherland Shire including, Alfords Point, Bangor, Barden Ridge, Bonnet Bay, Bundeena, Burraneer, Caringbah, Caringbah South, Como, Cronulla, Dolans Bay, Engadine, Grays Point, Greenhills Beach, Gymea, Gymea Bay, Heathcote, Holsworthy, Illawong, Jannali, Kangaroo Point, Kareela, Kirrawee, Kurnell, Lilli Pilli, Loftus, Lucas Heights, Maianbar, Menai, Miranda, Oyster Bay, Port Hacking, Royal National Park, Sandy Point, Sutherland, Sylvania, Sylvania Waters, Taren Point, Waterfall, Woolooware, Woronora, Woronora Heights, Yarrawarrah and Yowie Bay.

Can my order be delivered to a different address from my billing address?

It sure can. Before you finalise your purchase, you’ll find an option to choose a different delivery address during checkout. Fill it out and we’ll direct your order to the right address.

What happens if I am not home when the parcel is delivered?

Don’t worry - a card will be left with instructions for collection. Should your parcel not be delivered, it’ll come back to us and we’ll be in touch to arrange re-delivery. If you’re hanging out for your delivery (we totally get it!), consider using a PO Box or your work address as your delivery address. 


What do I do if my garment doesn't fit?

If you haven’t nailed the sizing, we’re happy to exchange or offer a store credit on unworn goods, with original packaging in resalable condition within 10 days of delivery. Check out our Returns & Shipping page for more information. 

What can I do if I’m not happy with my purchase?

If you’re not 100% happy with the item you’ve purchased, we’ll happily offer you a store credit minus any shipping costs. All items returned to Maiden Avenue MUST be in original condition – unworn, unwashed, with all original swing tags still attached. Items can be brought back into the store or returned via post (just don’t forget to complete our returns form).

Can I return a sale item?

Sale item purchases are final. We can’t accept refunds or exchanges on sale items, unless they are faulty, or wrongly described. Additional non-returnable items include:

  • Gift cards
  • Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery
  • Candles
  • Earrings due to hygiene

Who pays the cost of shipping returned items?

When returning an item, you are responsible for paying your own shipping costs (and shipping costs are non-refundable). If you’re returning an item over $75, use a trackable shipping service or purchase shipping insurance to be on the safe side. We can’t guarantee that we’ll receive your returned item and we take no responsibility for items that are returned to us and lost in the mail.
